World’s Tallest Tower – Burj Dubai to Transmute the Record Books

Once the tallest building of the globe, Burj Dubai, is inaugurated on 4th January 2010, the record books will brace themselves to receive an inundation of new fangled entries. The tower will be inaugurated by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai.

While Burj Dubai will be defined by its towering beauty for many spectators on the globe, on the other hand, the left out will marvel at the cheek of its engineers. Some more may also relish the magnificent views from the observation deck on the 124th floor called ‘At the Top, Burj Dubai’.

The compilers of the record books will be flabbergasted by the statistics which engrave the deepest impression.

Standing at the height of 800 meters the tower is the proud possessor of 160 floors in all.

· 95 kilometers is the distance up to which the spire of the Burj Dubai can be seen

· 124th Floor is the highest and the sole deck of the world accessible for the public with an outdoor terrace.

· 605 meters is the height to which concrete was pumped in the construction giving it the world record for pumping concrete

· 504 meters is the highest distance traveled by the tower’s main service elevator

The 169 floor structure is the only structure passing through a different climatic zone. The temperature at the top of the tower is up to 10°C cooler that that at the bottom.
