Passport & Visa: Passports must be carried valid for six months from the date of arrival in the country. All nationals require visas except the nationals of 33 countries which includes UK and US as well. Free of cost visa is being given to these nationals for 60 days on entry.
Ramadan: This is the holy month of Muslims when these people fast from sunrise to sunset, thus, drinking, smoking and eating in public areas during this holy month should be avoided.
Banking: This tip is also an important one as if you are a traveler then you must be carrying some cash along with you and one must always be aware of the banking regulations in a country in case of some emergency monetary situations. The banking hours in the UAE are from 0800 to 1300 hours from Sat to Wed, where as on Thur the banks just open from 0800 to 12:00 hours and Friday is an off.
Clothing: Since UAE is an Islamic country, you need to keep an eye as what you are wearing in public. Clothing should be modest however, at beach clubs, public beaches and at hotels beachwear is acceptable.
Safety: The country is trouble free and quiet safe to travel to and there are no hassles as such, however, it is suggested to avoid demonstrations and public gatherings.
Customs: Now this is the most vital point for a traveler. Not more than 2 liters of alcohol is allowed for the visitors to UAE. 400 cigars, 2000 cigarettes, perfumes for your personal use and up to 2 kg of tobacco is allowed.
