A new international airport, Dubai World Central International Airport is coming up in order to increase the handling capacity of tourists and cargo services in Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Presently, there are a limited number of flights from North America; however, the airport is trying to increase the flight flow by opening new terminals etc.
In the year 2006, a separate third air terminal was added to the airport that would almost double the capacity of handling people coming in and Dubai air cargo. This terminal exclusively caters to the Emirates airlines and it also handles various other advanced aircrafts.
